Hello everyone!
This week has been a bit better now that Elder Johnson is
back on his feet. We have been able to see a lot of miracles. One of them was this,
we got a referral from the temple for someone that wanted a
blessing, so we went to the address and knocked on the
door, and the person who opened it was like, "Oh Hi! Are you here for the
person that wants to be baptized?" So yeah, we have a solid new
investigator. Her name is Abby and she is really sincere. So we are really
excited
to teach her.
On the flip side, we had a not so good week. On Wednesday
I was doing some exchanges with a companionship in the District, when all of a sudden,
I got a call from the AP's telling me to pack up my stuff, that I was getting a
new companion. Didn't get an explanation until later that evening after we had
switched and the other Elder told me what had happened between him and his
companion, who was now with Elder Johnson. Anyway, at first, we were told that
it would be like this until the end of the transfer, but the Elders seemed to
learn their lesson after a few days, so the President allowed us to put them together
again in their own area. So far so good.
So yeah, things are going well. We have a lesson with
Taylor this Wednesday in President Monson's brother's home with him and his
wife. We will be watching 'On the Lord's Errand' so she will be able to get some
insider info from Scott Monson. (I may have already mentioned this activity a
few weeks ago, but it got pushed back, so now hopefully it will happen)
Anyway, I'm really glad that Elder Johnson is feeling
better, he was down for a while. I can't believe it's already the end of
another transfer. This is our last week. Tonight we are going out to Texas
Roadhouse for Elder Smith's birthday dinner, the Smiths
were nice enough to invite us, we love them :)
So all is well, I'm grateful for the support you all give
me. This is a great opportunity and responsibility that we all have, to help friends,
family and those we meet every day, come unto Christ. I encourage all of you to
reach out to someone you know, invite them to church events, activities,
sacrament meetings. Invite friends to come and hear you speak in church. I
promise that as you open your mouths and simply invite, you will see the
miracles that come from sharing the gospel.
I love you all, have a great week!
Elder Walker
