Week 35 - Tyler's Baptism

Hello everyone!  This week was great!  We had Tyler's baptism on Saturday and then he asked me to confirm him on Sunday, so that was great :)  We are going to start the recent convert lessons with him soon, and the Ward mission leader and the Bishop want to see if he'd like to work towards going on a mission.  I love this guy, he is great!

Sister Humble has pushed the baptism back to the 26th, but she is only doing that because she would like to increase her gospel knowledge first, she is still super solid.  We got a text from her last night asking me if I would be willing to baptize her, I said yes of course.  I am so excited for her and I'm really touched that she wanted me to do it, she is awesome :)

We also got a car, so that has really helped out with the new stake.  We have a lot of work to do in that stake as well.  So I am loving the mission, I love spreading the gospel.

I just want to share a quick scripture that I have been thinking a lot about lately.  D&C 19:15-19

15  Therefore I command you to repent-repent, lest I smite you by the rod of my mouth, and by my wrath, and by my anger, and your sufferings be sore-how sore you know not, how exquisite you know not, yea, how hard to bear you know not.

16  For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent;

17  But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;

18  Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit-and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink-

19  Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my prepartations unto the children of men.

I just want us all to remember that Christ suffered for us beyond what anyone can imagine, and that we all need to be careful not to take it for granted, definitely use it, but not abuse it.  I love my savior Jesus Christ and I am so grateful that he would die for all of us, so that we could be forgiven of all our many shortcomings and come back to him.  I know that is why I am our here, declaring repentance to those who need it, which is everyone.  I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to bear his name on my chest for two years here in Logan Utah.  Let us all remember to bear his name in our hearts.  I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Love you all, have a great week!
