Week 75 - Goodbye Logan, Hello Preston!

Hello everyone!

So, I have news, which I am sad about, but also quite excited about, all at the same time. I received the news about an hour ago, that I am being transferred up to the Preston North Stake. So I am sad to leave all of the people we have been teaching here in Logan, however, I'm super excited to be in a small town again!

This past week was great, we had a musical Fireside at the Logan Tabernacle, put on by the Utah Logan Mission and  the Logan Institute Choir. They had Elder Sandstrom and I sing Silent Night, I hope we did alright. The Institute Choir was amazing! If I ever come back here for school, I want to be a part of it.

Highlight of the week though! On Saturday we took Andrew Wallace to the temple to do some of his family names that he found. He was baptized for his Dad, grandfather, and both of his great-grandfathers! It was an awesome experience. I will be sad to leave him behind, but I'll do my best to keep in touch with him.

Anyway, those were the highlights of my week, hope you are all doing well :)

P.S. Also, congrats to my cousin Dylan on his new life as a married man! Sorry I had to miss it

Week 74 - Much Thanks Given!

Greetings, family and friends!

I'll start off by saying I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, I don't know about you but I was quite round after we left our 3rd full dinner (I may have had some trouble squeezing in the car) and we ended up trying to walk/roll it off by doing a blitz with a bunch of other missionaries in one of the apartment complexes in the area.

Now, for the thing I'm most excited about! I really hope you all have heard of the new Christmas initiative #LIGHTtheWORLD that the church has put out for 2016. It is awesome and we are trying to get everyone in our Stake excited about it. If you haven't heard about it, you should look into it on mormon.org it'll explain everything.

We have seen a lot of miracles in the zone this week despite the mass amount of people that left for Thanksgiving. One of those happened in our area. Last night we went to knock on the door of a referral and we accidentally knocked the wrong door. A woman answered and got super excited. She said: "Elders! I'm so glad you knocked! Ever since we moved we've been struggling to get out to church and recently we've decided that we want to get back into it. Also, my daughter needs the discussions because she just turned nine yesterday and she hasn't been baptized so I really need you to baptize her..." so, yeah...that happened.

Hmm, what else... well, it is snowing today! The first snow storm of the year! We were totally going to hike today but I guess we are meant to do something else.

Andrew got the priesthood yesterday! We are going to take him to do Baptisms for the dead sometime this week. He has been working hard on his family history and he is super excited.

During one of our ward's sacrament meetings, all of the speakers that were assigned went AWOL and so bishop called us up from the audience to be the speakers. We managed to do it and it worked out fine so that is another miracle! That really helped with member trust, so it was a great opportunity. So I really have a testimony that as long as we are doing our best, the Lord won't leave us standing on our own, he is there for us always.

Anyway, love you all! Thanks for your support and prayers! Have a great week :)

Week 73 - Happy 20th Birthday Elder Walker!

Hi Mom!

Yeah, it was a good birthday, I haven't made my cake yet, no time. Maybe once we are actually able to get back at 9:00 haha :) And yes, the birthday gifts were perfect, Elder Sandstrom and I eat a lot of Subway, so if you're ever at a loss just keep those gift cards coming :)

So it's final that Lauren isn't coming back for winter break huh, how do you feel about that? I also heard she's been going on lots of dates and I keep seeing the same guy in all of the group photos she sends me, so I'm starting to feel protective :p

Our companionship is going really well. We're going to make a lip sync in onesies of the Once There Was a Snowman A capella song.

I'm excited for Jacob, I took some time to write him today, so hopefully he gets to write me back, I miss that kid. It's crazy that Dylan is getting married!

Hi Ainsley! I miss you too! That's so exciting that you are reading now :) What is your favorite book?

Love you!!

Week 72 - Baptisms

Hi everyone!

So this week turned out to be awesome :) Andrew and Duvlain got baptized! Both Baptisms were well attended and the wards are super excited about all the work that is going on. Andrew is awesome, he's so committed, we are still working on getting a good amount of names for him to take to the temple. Duvlain was awesome, he is super smart and he shared a lot of insights for an 9yr-old during his baptism talks.

Guess who moved into our Stake recently. Sister Humble, one of my recent converts! We were so happy to bump into each other, she is great :) She is still active and reads the Book of Mormon every day. She really wants to go to the temple when she hits her year mark in March, so we are going to be working with her.

We are seeing a lot of miracles and we have a lot of dates stacking up in the month of December, so it looks like it will be a really white Christmas!

Yesterday they had a Fireside to recruit more senior couples, and they had us sing, I hope it turned out alright. I'm super excited to see if we get some more senior couples, we sure need them.

Anyway, those are most of the big things that I can think of that happened this week, other than the fact that they turned in our car and we finally get a new one today. I hope all of you have a great week, love you!

Week 71 - Loving the Work

Helloooo!

So DJ got baptized this week! It turned out great, she had a ton of family there and a good amount from the Ward showed up as well :) The Ward has really welcomed her in and the women have taken her under their wing. We are super happy for her!

Devlyn was pushed back a week, so that more of the family could come, so I'll tell you about his baptism next week. He is a great kid and he is learning a lot :) The Ward is super excited that the family is coming back to church and so far things are going well.

Andrew is also scheduled to be baptized this week! We took him to do more family history and we had to leave early, but he stayed for hours apparently. He loves doing family history work! We are meeting with him tonight, and earlier we got a text from him asking if it was okay to bring a friend of his along. We told him that was okay and that we would love to sit down with him as well. We are super excited about the progress he is making.

Last night we found two new investigators, Holly and Kalyn, but we will be handing them off to the YSA missionaries. They are awesome though and super willing to learn.

We also helped move in a family with a daughter who has been taking the missionary discussions in her previous home and she wants to be baptized, so we will be meeting with them on Thursday and will hopefully be able to set a date for her to do so.

We also had a similar situation with a  non member family of three that has also been meeting with missionaries, and they want to be baptized as well. They are moving in this weekend. So, lots of  miracles, it's been a great week :)

Today we hiked up a mountain to a cave and did our studies up there, it was awesome. It was just Elder Sandstrom and I. We had a great view of the Canyon and as I was looking at the mountains I decided to study Alma 30, where Alma contends with Korihor. He talks about how the whole earth and all the creations on it denote that there is a supreme creator. I love the chapter because it helps me remember that the earth proves there is a God, not the opposite.

Anyway, gotta get back to it, but thank you all so much for your support and prayers, love you!

Week 70 - Temple and Family History Work

Hey everyone!

Don't have too much time today, but I'll give you the rundown of the week. Soooo, we took Andrew to a baptism this week. However, when we got there, they told us that they had pushed the baptism back an hour. So we decided to take Andrew to the family history Center that is in the basement of the Logan Tabernacle. He loved it! Within 15 minutes they had helped him find his grandparents and his great-grandparents. He was floored. He said he had grown up his whole life, and hadn't known their names (he is in his 50's) he set up another appointment with the family history center for Tuesday, where they will help him find more. We then took him to the baptism, which he loved. Then we took him to the temple, and walked him around the grounds. We brought him into the temple lobby to grab a brochure, and when we got back outside, we asked him how he felt and he said that when he was in the temple, he felt the spirit as strong as he ever had before, and just felt like he was in a holy place. It was awesome, I'll send pictures.

We have two Baptisms coming up this weekend, Devlyn and DJ. We are super excited for them. We have Andrew scheduled for the 12th and he is super excited!

We had to be in from 6-9 on Saturday due to the USU party "the Howl". It's a pretty riotous party with not very good costumes, so the mission allows us to stay inside as a zone.
We also have to be in from 6-9 tonight as well due to Halloween. So all day P-Day!

Anyway, it's been a great week! I'm about to lose wifi so I'm wrapping up. Love you all and have a great week!

Week 69 - Elder Sandstrom

Hello, sorry it's been a bit since I've done a group email. Things have been pretty crazy. So, as you probably could tell, it's already transfers again. It's going so fast. We got the transfer roster this morning and we found out the news. Elder McLean is leaving to go to Tremonton. I will be getting Elder Sandstrom, I know him pretty well so I'm excited.

We have seen a lot of miracles in the past few weeks. A girl that we have been visiting for the past transfer finally decided that she was going to get baptized. So they will probably do that around Thanksgiving. We are excited for her, she has already had all of the lessons and could be baptized at any time, but she wants her older brothers to be home from college when she does. On Saturday, right before we went home, we ran into a man from Jamaica who was out for an evening walk. We got to talking and it turns out that he came to Utah 3 months ago and that he didn't know why he was here. He said he wanted to get closer to God and he walked by the LDS church often and had seen the visitors welcome sign and had wanted to come for a while but felt like he needed to have his first time be at a "conference" of some sort and not a regular church meeting. We were happy to inform him that the Utah North Regional Conference was being held on Sunday and invited him to come. He said he would love to, but he had scheduled an important meeting at that time. We were disappointed but he agreed to meet later on in the day, after the conference. So we showed up to conference on Sunday to sit with our other investigators and afterwards, as we were helping pick up chairs, Andrew (the man we met) walked up to us in a super nice suit and totally surprised us. He told us he had felt like he needed to cancel his appointment and come to the conference. Then the Stake President showed up and introduced himself and we ended up teaching the restoration in the High Council Room. He knows it's true and committed to be baptized on the 12th of November. We are super excited!

Anyway, that is just one of many miracles that have happened. I just want you all to know that I have a testimony of the restored gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ. I invite all of you to share your testimony with others often, I promise you will see it work wonders in the lives of those around you. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!

Love you all!

Week 66 - Keeping Busy

Hey Mom :)

Everything is going well, things have been pretty busy, but we've found some people that want to get baptized this month. One is DJ, she is 11. The other is Jarvis, he’s a great guy.

I am in Logan, we cover the Cache Stake, the one with the temple in it, and we are in the Cache Central Zone. It is a good stake, it has a lot of apartments and so it is very transient. We have not had any snow yet, no. I think it might be easier if you just send me some, we haven't had any time to go to the shoe store. The shoes I'm wearing right now are 11's.

That's awesome that Jacob broke 20 min. A new uke? That's awesome :) it'll be fun to see Macey and Him perform. I liked the talks in general Conference that were about missionary work and sharing the gospel, because everyone here in Utah seems to think that the mission field is everywhere but here, and they say it straight to our face too.

I'll have to see if I can get a pic of Elder McLean and I, he's kinda sick right now. I'll totally send you a picture of his awesome pillow though, I'm sure Colin and Jacob would love one of these.

I never really have many exciting things to talk about haha, it kinda gets repetitive, it just missionary work everyday haha. I'm just excited for the people that we are teaching, I'll try and take more pictures this week, it kinda slips my mind.

Anyway, thanks for being an awesome mom, I love you bunches!

Week 65 - Miracles and Rain!

Hey!

So this week has been full of miracles all over the zone, we have been doing 6-9 exchanges with a bunch of the companionships in the zone just trying to help them find people to teach and so far we have seen a lot of miracles. On one exchange we ran into a couple from Maine who had never heard of the church in their lives (that never happens in Utah) and we actually had to introduce ourselves as missionaries. Anyway, they are super golden and they said that they have been looking for this in their lives for years. So they are now being taught by the other Elders in our zone. We also ran into a guy in our own area that just got out of jail who has wanted to be baptized for years, he just needs approval from President Allred and then we can perform the baptism. So we are super excited to see more and more miracles happen this week to prepare for this upcoming month.

Oh! It finally rained here for the first time in months! I was so excited, it made me think of home and it felt awesome, I'll show you some pictures of what it looked like right before we got dumped on. I was on exchanges with Elder Reilly at the time.

Anyway, p-days have gotten super busy, so that is all for now, but thanks everyone for your support. Remember to read, pray and go to church! Those are honestly the biggest things we can do to retain our testimonies :) I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Week 63 - Goodbye River Heights

Hello everyone!

So, transfers were a bit surprising. I got a call from President Allred last night right before bed. He's asked me to serve as a Zone Leader in a different zone. So I am not going to be finishing Elder
Johnson's training :/ I really wanted to stay in River Heights for a few more transfers. I'm a bit nervous about being a zone leader but it'll be a new experience.

We had a good week, we were able to have a lesson in the Monson home this past week and it was great, he told us a lot of inside stories about President Monson. They are a great family. We were also able to have another lesson with Sister Palte, from Zimbabwe and I think she is really starting to understand the Holy Ghost. It's interesting, we tell her facts about the gospel that we already expected previous missionaries to have taught, but she'll get excited and say she's never known that before. Each visit she says, "You're converting me slowly chaps." She's a lot of fun and we enjoy teaching her. We are
doing service for her tomorrow, as we had transfers postponed to Wednesday.

On Sunday we showed up after a missionary homecoming. An Elder Giddings that had served in the Oregon Salem Mission. I was talking with a member when all of a sudden a man walked up to me looking confused and in shock and then he gave me a big hug. It took me a second to figure out who it was. It was Elder Watson, or I guess Brother Watson now. He was the Elder that was serving in Dayton when I left on my mission. Actually, he spoke with me when I gave my "farewell" talk in sacrament meeting. It was great to see him again, he had been home from his mission for 5 days.

Anyway, we have some stuff to get done before transfers so I will leave off here. I just want you all to know that I have a testimony of our savior Jesus Christ and in his atonement, and I know that this is
his work. The priesthood has been restored to the earth and will never be taken away again. I know that we have a living prophet that leads and guides the church and as we follow his counsel we will not be lead astray.

I love you all and I appreciate your support, have a great week!

Week 62 - Extend an Invitation

Hello everyone!

This week has been a bit better now that Elder Johnson is back on his feet. We have been able to see a lot of miracles. One of them was this, we got a referral from the temple for someone that wanted a
blessing, so we went to the address and knocked on the door, and the person who opened it was like, "Oh Hi! Are you here for the person that wants to be baptized?" So yeah, we have a solid new investigator. Her name is Abby and she is really sincere. So we are really excited
to teach her.

On the flip side, we had a not so good week. On Wednesday I was doing some exchanges with a companionship in the District, when all of a sudden, I got a call from the AP's telling me to pack up my stuff, that I was getting a new companion. Didn't get an explanation until later that evening after we had switched and the other Elder told me what had happened between him and his companion, who was now with Elder Johnson. Anyway, at first, we were told that it would be like this until the end of the transfer, but the Elders seemed to learn their lesson after a few days, so the President allowed us to put them together again in their own area. So far so good.

So yeah, things are going well. We have a lesson with Taylor this Wednesday in President Monson's brother's home with him and his wife. We will be watching 'On the Lord's Errand' so she will be able to get some insider info from Scott Monson. (I may have already mentioned this activity a few weeks ago, but it got pushed back, so now hopefully it will happen)

Anyway, I'm really glad that Elder Johnson is feeling better, he was down for a while. I can't believe it's already the end of another transfer. This is our last week. Tonight we are going out to Texas
Roadhouse for Elder Smith's birthday dinner, the Smiths were nice enough to invite us, we love them :)
So all is well, I'm grateful for the support you all give me. This is a great opportunity and responsibility that we all have, to help friends, family and those we meet every day, come unto Christ. I encourage all of you to reach out to someone you know, invite them to church events, activities, sacrament meetings. Invite friends to come and hear you speak in church. I promise that as you open your mouths and simply invite, you will see the miracles that come from sharing the gospel.

I love you all, have a great week!

Week 61 - Hi

Hi!

Yeah, it was good to see Elder Wible again! He said you got feisty when Dad said that the mission time is going by really fast ;) I probably won't be able to go get shoes today, I already went shopping :/

Elder Johnson is feeling better for the most part. I'm sorry to hear Jacob started bleeding again, at least he can still run! Sounds like Colin is getting pretty smart, he always has been, but pre-algebra? That's awesome! Ainsley is pretty smart too! Super reading skills? Sounds like a Walker!

Things are going well here, we have a new investigator from Zimbabwe and she is awesome, I think we are helping her understand a lot, she is actually good friends with a recent convert of mine! That was cool. I actually met her at Sue's baptism when I first came into Green Canyon.

Yay! Maddy is getting married I'm excited for her, I hope it goes well! How are you doing? Hanging in there? Don't miss me too much? I miss you :) Don't worry!

Love you mom!

Week 60 - River Heights

Hello fellow Oregonians! Oh, and Idahoans as well! And I guess we have a few BYUtahans in there as well! (Sorry, had to do something different :p)

This week has been, well... not as exciting as I thought! We started out the week awesome! We started meeting with Taylor last week and things were going well, we had another lesson with her on Monday and she was progressing nicely! Then, sickness struck...

I don't know what it is, my companions always have the worst luck, I think it might be me, but Elder Johnson got sick on Tuesday, like really sick. Anyway, he got something crazy, we thought it would go away after a day or two, but no, it did not, so on Friday we called up the mission nurse (I'm starting to feel like a regular) and after describing what was happening with Elder Johnson they had us go to insta-care. So after bloodwork, IV therapy, samples of all sorts of bodily things, they said he couldn't be out in the public for at least the next two days... So we got to spend the past few days cooped up
inside... Not Fun!! I tried to get splits to first off stay with him and then while another split took me out to work, but it was a struggle finding people to do that, plus, I couldn't ask that of anyone on a Sunday, so yesterday, the only time I got to leave the apartment was when the Smith's took me to sacrament meeting to see if Taylor would show up. She did! They showed up to pay tithing! So we had a good chat, set up a lesson for tonight, and then I got to go back to the apartment, and do nothing, until we had a correlation meeting, and then I was back, for the whole rest of the day!

Anyway, so sorry I don't have any super exciting stories everyone, this next week should be good :) I just have faith that the Lord does things for a reason, so I'm just trying to figure out what he wants me
to learn. Oh! Another Elder and I knocked on Elder Stevenson's door on Saturday!
He wasn't home, but maybe we'll try again some other time. Anyway, I love you all, you are in my prayers! Have a great week!

Week 59 - Hey Mom

Hey Mom, super sorry, I had an email all typed out earlier and then we had to go somewhere and I hit delete instead, my bad :( I'm glad everything is going well with the family, I miss y'all a bunch!  Sister Giddings is awesome, and yeah, brother Johnson said you recruited him to stalk me ;) Anyway, I'm glad Elder Wible got in touch with you, he's great :) I'll be sure to think about a list of things to give you next week.

Anyway, I love you so much, I get to tell the moms out here how awesome MY Mom is :) Have a good week!

Week 58 - New Companion - Elder Johnson - New Area - River Heights

Hi everyone!

This week has been crazy, and I can't believe it's only been a week.  On Tuesday I was paired with my son, I mean, Elder-that-I-am-training (an emeritus general authority came and ranted about mission lingo so president decided to get rid of it). I was excited to get my new Elder-that-I-am-training, his name is Elder Johnson and he is awesome.  We had 28 new missionaries arrive and they saved us to the very last.  My first impression was, "My son is way bigger than me! He's literally a spiritual giant after that scripture he shared!" (This thought occurred before the rant took place) so this past week has been awesome, for the most part.

Elder Johnson is hitting the ground running, it's awesome. I don't have to drag him along, he actually talks and wants to baptize people,  he's going to be great! The only drawback is that we are still looking for people in our area to teach which is composed almost entirely of active members, way different than Lorin Farr. However, we have found some good potentials and the members here are amazing, so we should be able to squeeze some investigators out of the area!

Some cool occurrences of the past week:

1. I met a guy yesterday who's grandson married into Craig Beecher's family
2. I ran into Sister Lexi Webb's trainer from the Knoxville mission
3. I met a missionary mom who's son is serving in the Salem mission and she heard a lot about Elder and Sister Walker in the mission office (Grandpa and Grandma Walker)
4. More people than usual have been taking pictures of us and sending them to my mom (there's a Facebook page that has every mom in Logan stalking me)
5. Our neighbor, Bishop Zollinger, owns a fruit farm and he treated us to a Zapple (carbonated Apple) it was delicious

So yeah, those were some cool things that happened. Hopefully I'll get to include finding some new investigators on the list next week. They are out there, mother are just harder to find than in Lorin Farr.

Anyway, thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, I appreciate them very much. I am grateful for the time that I get to spend out here in Utah and I can't wait to bring more souls to Christ. I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Week 57 - Whitewashing

Hello everyone!

So, this week we found ten new investigators and they are all on date for the month of August! Woohoo!

But! I'm getting whitewashed into a new area. I'm sad to leave Lorin Farr, especially with all the people we have been teaching. I'm going to miss them. I have been called and I have been informed that I am going to be a daddy again! I will find out who my son is tomorrow. I'm excited! We are whitewashing into an area that is almost all members though, so we shall see how this goes. I'm excited however, I know that we will see miracles. Whitewashing will be fun too, it'll be a fresh area for the both of us so we can just hit the ground running.

As far as this past week has been... We had two baptisms! Aiden and Mindon! Super excited for the both of them :) both baptisms were awesome! Mindon called me last minute and asked if I would be the one to baptize him! It's going to be sad to head out right away after just having him baptized, but it is what the lord wants.

Anyway, I'm excited for this next transfer, I'll try to be better about writing emails more often. Thank you all for your support, I appreciate the prayers! I love you all!

Week 56 - Last Week of Transfers

This week is the last week of the transfer! We will see what happens. There are 28 new missionaries coming in, so the likelyhood of me training is pretty high. I hope so, I want another son :) How's the rest of the fam doing? We have two baptisms this week, I'll send pictures!

Week 55 - Crazy P-Day

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a while. Today has been a pretty crazy P-Day. During exercise this morning, Elder Smith passed out and hit his head. He has a contusion on his brain from the fall and he will be out of commission for the next couple weeks... So he will be in the hospital for at least tonight and tomorrow morning. I'll be staying with him, so yay, adventure! Nah, not adventure, I'm just glad he's okay, I'm glad I can keep an eye out on him.

Anyway, other than this incident the week has gone pretty good. We should be having at least three baptisms next Saturday, hopefully one this Saturday as well. We are teaching quite a few people, we are just going to have to figure out how to juggle it all now that Elder Smith is hospitalized.

I'm not sure if I've told you about Mindon or not. He is a man that just got out of jail for drug usage and dealing and he was "hit by God with a 2X4" while he was in there. He met a man in there that
introduced him to the gospel and after he got out, he got ahold of our Ward missions leader and has been meeting with us every night for the past three weeks or so. He has completely changed from when we first met him, it is amazing to see. His friend trashed his house while he was in jail so we went and helped him start cleaning it out on Saturday. It was in bad condition. I felt so bad for him, but I'm glad we could help him make headway. I think we are going to go over tomorrow to help him some more. Anyway, he is being baptized next week and we are so happy for him, he is awesome.

Anyway, I don't know what else to write, my head is kinda spinning, so I'll keep in touch with everyone, but thank you so much for all of your prayers! Love you all!

Week 54 - Working Hard

Hi Mom :)

Sorry, it's been a pretty busy P-Day.  Summer is going by super fast!  This week has been really good, we found a few more people that would like to be baptized and we are very excited for them.  Hopefully everything works out.

We are building a lot of member trust here.  We have been working a lot with them and they love it.

We had a good P-Day, we went shopping and then played a good game of soccer, which was fun.  Then we played some games at a church building and we are now home getting ready.

So, yeah, things are going good, I'm excited for the next few weeks, they should go fast.

I love you Mom! ;)

Week 53 - Fourth of July

Hello! Sorry, today has been a bit crazy.

Due to the Fourth of July, and the fact that it was P-Day, we ended up having an all day P-Day. Which was awesome! But also super weird. So we had two movies approved by president that we could watch, the First was Risen, it was super Catholic and I don't recommend it. The second was Zootopia, which I thought was quite fantastic. We may have watched it twice.

Earlier in the morning we had the opportunity to help organize the North Ogden parade. We got to be in it and it was awesome. I got to be part of the hype squad so we ran around and hi-fives all of the kids on the side of the street :)

This weekend was awesome! We had a baptism! Sylvia got baptized! She is a 12 yr old girl that we have been teaching for the past three weeks and she decided she wanted to make this step :) it was awesome!

We are also teaching a lot of other people. We had another miracle this week! We were going to our ward mission leader's house for dinner and we found a man there talking with him. His name was Mindon and he had just gotten out of prison, he took us showing up in front of him as a sign from God that he needed to meet with us. So we have been meeting with him every day and he has been working toward the 30th for baptism. We are super excited for him.

Anyway, we have seen a ton of miracles in our area lately and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be a missionary in this great exotic state of Utah! Thank you for all of your prayers, I hope you all have a great week!

Week 52 - New Companion - Elder Smith

Hey Mom :)

Everything is going great, I finally got my hair cut today, I was looking like a fuzzy muppet.  We had zone sports this morning and we played chair soccer and volleyball.  We didn't have any baptisms this week, but we should this Saturday.  Thanks for the pictures.

Sounds like High Adventure is going to be pretty fun, hope Jacob has a good time.  Oh, you should have him cut his hair too, it's starting to look like a lizard :)  Oh, so I found a book on personalities laying around the apartment.  It turns out that I'm a white personality and I found out that you are a blue personality.  It was interesting.

I'm excited to hear where Dylan gets called to, it should be the Logan mission!  We are getting like 26 new missionaries this transfer.

Corbin Allred?  That's awesome!  Thank you for  having them hold the scholarship!  Guess who has the best mom?  Me!  We've had a pretty good P-Day so far :)  I'm excited for this week, I hope the baptism goes through!

Anyway, ask me lots of questions that I can hopefully answer, things are getting busy.

I love you mom!

Week 51 - Transfers

Hey everyone!  So today is the last day of the transfer.  We are about to officially find out what is going to happen, but unofficially we have been given some insider info and we know that Elder Mobley is leaving, we just don't know where to yet.  Last night we both got called to be district leaders again, I am looking forward to it this time, this district is awesome and I think we will continue to see a lot of success.  I am also going to be step-training again, so my new companion will be my third step-son.  I guess I'm the eternal step-dad haha.

So this past week our goal set a new mission record for amount of baptisms in a week in one zone!  We had ten, all but four companionships in the zone baptized, it was an awesome Saturday.  For us, Lynzi got baptized!  It was an amazing baptism, she had so much support from the ward, it was amazing to see.  She asked me to sing I Love to See the Temple, so I did that for her, everyone said I sounded good, so I' glad it worked out, I was worried about it.  I'll attach some photos from the baptism, we were so excited for her!

We had two people come up to ask us this week on the street and ask us to be baptized, we were like, "Sorry, can't help you there" and walked off... no, we actually freaked out on the inside and calmly set up an appointment with each of them.  So those, were some cool miracles that we saw this week, I love this area, It'll be sad to leave.

Another cool thing!  We got permission from president to leave the mission in order to take the Spencers to do Baptisms for the dead. I got to baptize brother Spencer and and Elder Mobley and I baptized each other.  It was a great way to start closing out the week.  The spirit was so strong, Brother Spencer started tearing up after the baptisms, no, it wasn't just the water pouring down his face, he had tears.  It was amazing, and to think, right before I leave the mission, I get to go through the temple with their family.  I'm so excited!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this upcoming transfer, I appreciate the support that I get from all of you.  I pray for you every day, love you all!
